CLOCKVILLE . . .



Dawn M. Holdridge, 97, of 3164 Clock Road, Canastota, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at her home, following a lengthy illness.



She was born on November 8, 1927, in Canastota, the daughter of the late Arthur and V. Ruth (Whaley) Miller.



Dawn lived in the Canastota area all of her life, graduating from Canastota High School in 1946.



She owned and operated the Clockville Superette for twelve years, retiring in 1973. She served as a temporary Supervisor for the Town of Lincoln following the death of her husband.



Dawn was a member of the Clockville United Methodist Church, and was a founding member of the Lincoln Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.



She enjoyed taking care of her family, doing needlepoint, crocheting, boating, camping, and spending time with her family.



Dawn married Harrison R. "Hack" Holdridge on November 9, 1949, in Oneida. Hack passed away on November 2, 1989.



Surviving are: one son, Henry H. Holdridge of Canastota; and one daughter, Hilary H. Case of Canastota; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dawn was predeceased by a son-in-law, Kennard F. Case; a daughter-in-law, Roxanne Holdridge; and a sister, Sylvia Bogardus.



A graveside service will be held at Clockville Cemetery at a date and time to be announced. At Dawn's request, there will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the supervision of the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., Canastota, NY 13032.



In her memory, contributions may be made to the Clockville United Methodist Church, PO Box 15, Clockville, NY 13043, or to the Canastota Public Library, 102 W. Center Street, Canastota, NY 13032.
