CANASTOTA . . .
John H. Beach, 68, formerly of Canastota, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, following a lengthy illness.
He was born on December 4, 1956, in Canastota, the son of the late John Beach and Jane F. (Scanlan) Beach.
John spent his early years in Canastota, graduating from Canastota High School in 1975. He later lived in Oneida, and has lived in Vietnam for the last twenty years.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army, and served in the Army Honor Guard.
John worked for Oneida Limited in Sherrill from 1982 until it closed. He later worked for Blueprint International in Thailand for many years until his retirement.
He enjoyed golfing, playing guitar, and volunteering at the International Boxing Hall of Fame in Canastota.
Surviving are his children: Kristin and Scott Warner of Fairport, NY, and John T. Beach of Syracuse; one grandson, Benjamin Warner; one brother, Brian and Laurie Beach of Leesburg, FL; one sister, Linda Moe of Roswell, GA; his former wife, Shelley (Porter) Beach of Canastota; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. John was predeceased by a sister, Janie Beach.
There will be no calling hours or funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends at a later date.
