CANASTOTA . . .

Beverly Jean Wallace, 83 of 3998 Pine Ridge Road, Canastota, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Oneida Healthcare, following a lengthy illness.

She was born on October 11, 1941, in Canastota, the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Hood) Miller.

Jean has lived in Canastota most of her life, graduating from Canastota High School in 1959. She and her husband, Lyle, spent winters in Dade City, FL, for twelve years.

She worked for Diemolding Corporation in Canastota for forty years, retiring in 2008.

Jean enjoyed sewing, quilting, painting, and spending time with her family.

Jean married Lyle T. Wallace on August 20, 1960, in Oneida.

Surviving are: one son, Gergory Wallace of Canastota; one daughter, Pamela and James Cummings of Canastota; two brothers, Woodrow Miller of Hawaii, and Douglas Miller of Lakeport; one sister, Denise and Brett Moore of Canastota; four grandchildren, Peyton Cummings and Nancy Levensailor, Arlen and Jenifer Cummings, Parker Cummings, and Brittany and Sean Tousley; six great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jean was predeceased by one grandson, Cullen Wallace; one granddaughter, Jenna Marie Cummings; and one brother, Lewis Miller.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the funeral home. Pastor Donna Chapman of the Whitelaw Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Lenox Rural Cemetery, Canastota.
