Waterville, NY . . .

Lynn Howard “Murph” Collins, 83, formerly of the Canastota and the Munnsville area, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Waterville Residential Care Center in Waterville, NY.

He was born on January 22, 1942, in Oneida, the son of the late Raymond and Lula (Arnold) Collins.

Lynn was raised and educated in Oneida NY. At one time he had been wed to the former, Juanita C. Johnson.

Lynn had many hobbies in his younger years which include fishing, taking care of animals, and riding his bicycle.

Prior to his retirement Mr. Collins held a position for over twenty years with V. Giufre and Sons Proudce in Canastota.

Surviving are his former wife and friend, Juanita; a daughter, Cynthia (Collins) Pickard of Canastota; five sons and daughters-in-law, Lenard and Robin (Decker) Collins, Leon Collins, all of Munnsville, Michael and Bambi (Thornton) Collins of Oneida, Timothy and Christina (Spaulding) Collins of Munnsville, Christopher and Julie (Sherman) Collins of Munnsville; grandchildren, Lenard, Jr., Edward, Danielle, Kristyn, Kelcey, Mike, Leon, Jr., Kyle, Tasha, Sonya, Tasha, Kellie, Melanie, Lisa, Brian, Tania, Scott, Jr., Mikey, James, Sabrina, Timmy, Jr., Catrina, Rebecca, Krista, Sara, and Andrea; fifty-three great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Douglas Collins of Munnsville, Terry and Teresa Collins of Syracuse, and Glenn and Kathy Collins of Munnsville; and three sisters, Daisy Collins of AZ, Alice Harris, and Frances Danboise both of Oneida. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a son, James Collins; an infant daughter, Sandra Collins; a brother, Bill Collins; and a sister, Patricia Collins.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday morning, May 3, 2025, at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota from 9-11 a.m. Mr. Collins’s funeral will take place on Saturday, at 11:00 a.m. immediately following calling hours at the funeral home with Rev. Jacob N. Rashford officiating.
