CANASTOTA . . .
John A. Wesolowski, 63, of Canastota, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Oneida Healthcare.
He was born on February 22, 1962, in Rome, NY, the son of the late Stanley and Joan (Arena) Wesolowski.
John has lived in Canastota most of his life, attending the Canastota schools. He later studied and earned his GED.
He worked for Owl Wire in Canastota, and Magnavox in Manlius, retiring in 1992, due to injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident.
John enjoyed fishing, animals, video games, music, especially Pearl Jam, and spending time with his family. He was an avid New York Giants Football fan.
Surviving are: three sisters, Valerie Wesolowski of Canastota, Debra and Jeff Seamon of Canastota and Vernon, and Tina and Christopher Emmons of Durhamville; as well one aunt, Constance Arena of Verona; one niece, Ashley Seamon of Oneida; and many cousins.
Calling hours will be held from 12 Noon to 2 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025, at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota. A funeral service will be held following the calling hours, at 2 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home. The Rev. William M. Wilcox will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Canastota.
