CANASTOTA . . .
Paulette M. Ducey, 53, of 102 Bruno Road, Canastota, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse, following a lengthy illness.
She was born on September 2, 1971, in Oneida, the daughter of the late Marcia A. Ducey.
Paulette lived in Canastota all of her life, graduating from Canastota High School in 1989, and later from the Utica School of Commerce in 1991, with a Medical Secretary degree.
She worked at Oneida Healthcare, retiring due to her health after working there for more than twenty years.
Paulette was a member of St. Agatha's Church in Canastota.
She was a hardcore "Blockhead" as she loved the New Kids on the Block, attending many concerts. She also loved animals, having had many dogs and cats as pets.
Surviving are her two closest friends, Pat and Chris Gilliland of Oneida, as well as cousins and many friends. Paulette was predeceased by her beloved mother, and her fiance, David Invenio Jarvis, who passed away on September 24, 2024.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at St. Agatha's Cemetery, Oxbow Road, Canastota, where she will be buried next to her mother and grandparents. At Paulette's request, there will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the supervision of the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota.
In her memory, contributions may be made to the Wanderers' Rest Humane Association, Inc., PO Box 535, Canastota, NY 13032.
