Claudette M. "Wiki" Cerio Obituary

Claudette M. "Wiki" Cerio, 78, of 419 W. Lewis Street, Canastota, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at her home, with her daughter and son-in-law by her side.



She was born on October 29, 1947, in Oneida, the daughter of the late Anthony and Rosalie (Calgno) Regulbuto.



Wiki lived in Oneida most of her life, and was a 1965 graduate of Oneida High School. She later graduated from the Stenotype Business Institute.



She had a wide career path. Wiki loved her job as the office manager for the New York State Jaycee Foundation in Canastota from 1975-1986. She worked at other area businesses, including the Canastota Branch of the Oneida Valley National Bank, Oneida Limited Silversmiths in Sherrill, and in 2015 she retired from the US Department of Defense Finance and Accounting (DFAS), in Rome.



Wiki was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Oneida, and attended Agatha's Church in Canastota.



She was a vibrant and intelligent woman, who left a lasting impression. Wiki enjoyed traveling, NASCAR, attending country music concerts, and spending time with her family and many friends.



She was married to Michael H. Cerio, Jr.



Surviving are: her daughter and son-in-law, Nanci and Phillip G. Barker, Jr. of Canastota; step-grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.



A memorial mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at St. Agatha's Church, 329 N. Peterboro Street, Canastota. The Rev. Joseph Ryan will officiate. There will be no calling hours, however, the family will greet friends at a reception in the church center following the mass. Arrangements are under the supervision of the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota.



In her memory, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, with envelopes available at the church.
