MUNNSVILLE . . .

Bryan Scott Jones, 49, of Munnsville, NY, peacefully passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025, in his home with his family by his side after a strong fight against cancer.

He was born on January 31, 1976, in Oneida, NY to Craig and Sandra (Goodwin) Jones.

Bryan went to high school at Stockbridge Valley Central School and graduated in 1994. He went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps and received an honorable discharge in 1998.

Bryan worked as a Custom Woodworker/Finisher for D.R. Cornue Woodworks for 24 years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, country music, spending time with his family, and he had a true love for his country. Bryan was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother.

He married Rebecca A. Carnahan on February 23, 1999, in Oneida

Surviving besides his wife, Rebecca, are: two children, Kyleigh Jones, and Kaleb and Tara Jones; one grandson, Charlie; his mother, Sandra and Jim Sorta; his father, Craig and Theresa Jones; one sister, Christa Schwebe; one brother, Daniel Jones; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bryan is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all of the wonderful staff at the Oneida Roswell Cancer Center, Oneida Health, and Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc., New Hartford.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025, at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota. A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. at the funeral home immediately following the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to Feed Our Vets, 502 Broad Street, Utica, NY 13501, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
