ONEIDA . . .

Jeffrey W. Percival, 70, of Oneida, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026, at University Hospital, Syracuse, with his loving family by his side, following a lengthy battle with cancer.

He was born on June 5, 1956, in Oneida, the son of Charles and Minnie (Willson) Percival.

Jeff spent his early years in Whitelaw, graduating from Canastota High School in 1975. He later lived in Canastota, and has lived in Oneida for the last thirty-six years.

He worked for Raymond Corporation in Syracuse for thirty-five years, retiring in 2021.

Jeff was a member of the Miller Park Association in Nobleboro, NY, and the New York State Trappers Association.

He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, logging, and spending time with his family and friends.

Jeff married Kimberly S. Woodworth, on March 3, 1990, in Oneida. They have shared thirty-six years of marriage.

Surviving besides his wife, Kim, are: one son, Colton Percival of Oneida; two daughters, Katherine and Michael LaVecchio of Buffalo, and Laura Percival of Canastota; one grandson, Joseph LaVecchio; his mother, Minnie Ryder of Morrisville; two brothers, Bruce Percival of Munnsville, and William Percival and Donna Wilkinson of Canastota; one sister, Eloise Percival of Canastota; two stepbrothers, Bruce and Tammy Saunders of Central Square, and Keith and Beth Saunders of Whitelaw; one stepsister, Susan and Ronald Poland of Verona; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jeff was predeceased by his father, Charles Percival; one brother, Paul Percival; and one stepsister, Donna McAllister.

Calling hours will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2026, at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota. A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home. The Rev. Gina Jennings will officiate. Burial will be in Whitelaw Cemetery, Canastota.
