CANASTOTA . . . Floyd C. Haywood, Jr., 45, of 223 S. Canal Street, Canastota, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 4, 2021, at Oneida Healthcare. He was born on June 13, 1975, in Oswego, the son of Floyd C. Haywood, Sr. and Roxanna (Stevens) Haywood. Floyd lived in Altmar most of his life, moving to Canastota 10 years ago. He enjoyed gaming, fishing, and watching NFL football games, especially the Buffalo Bills. Floyd also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Surviving besides his wife, Anne, are: two sons, Anthony Haywood of Canastota, and Floyd C. Haywood, III of Oswego; one stepson, Thomas Spaulding of Canastota; four daughters, Samantha Haywood of Altmar, Tiffany Haywood of Fine, Angel Snyder of Altmar, and Katlynn Haywood of Canastota; his mother, Roxanna Haywood of Altmar; one brother, Scott Haywood of Altmar; two sisters, Trina Coffey and Karl Britton of Altmar, and Tina Raymond and Mike Raymo of Pulaski; one granddaughter, Harley G. Haywood; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Floyd was predeceased by his father. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota. Face coverings and social distancing are required. At Floyd's request, there will be no funeral service. In his memory, contributions may be made to the Greater Lenox Ambulance Service (GLAS), PO Box 382, Canastota, NY 13032, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
