CANASTOTA . . . Tina M. Taubman, 57, of Canastota, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at Sitrin Health Care Center, New Hartford, following a lengthy illness. She was born on November 21, 1963, in Albany , the daughter of the late Gerald Spath, Sr. and Diane (Hunting) Spath. Tina spent her early years in Bridgeport, attending Cicero-North Syracuse High School. She later lived in Chittenango and Canastota. She had worked at Oneida Limited in Sherrill, Anaren Microwave in E. Syracuse, and Diemolding in Canastota. Tina enjoyed listening to classic rock music, riding motorcycles, and spending time with her family and friends. She had been a Boy Scout Leader in Canastota. Surviving are: one son, Zachary J. Taylor of Canastota; four brothers, Richard and Shelley Taubman of Bridgeport, Kenneth Taubman of Canastota, and Gerald Spath, Jr. of Albany, and Michael VanHoesen of Scotia; two sisters, Marietta Billings of Schnectady, and Antoinette VanHoesen of Texas; as well as several nieces, nephews, and a cousin, Tracy Darwak of Cohoes. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic there will be no calling hours or funeral service. A Celebration of her Life will be held at a future date and time to be determined. Arrangements are under the supervision of the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota. In her memory, contributions may be made to the Huntington's Disease Society of America, 505 Eighth Avenue, Suite 902, New York, New York 10018.
