CANASTOTA . . . Lillian L. Raynore, 75, of 3607 Seneca Turnpike, Canastota, passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021, at The Grand, Chittenango, following a brief illness. She was born on December 3, 1945, in Canastota, the daughter of Cassius L. and Lillian (Froelick) Popple. Lillian was a lifelong resident of Canastota, graduating from Canastota High School in 1965, and later from the Utica School of Commerce in Canastota in 1995. She had worked for Rapasadi & Sons Produce in Canastota, for 26 years, retiring in 1992. Lillian was an active volunteer at sporting events at the Canastota schools, and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She married Robert R. Raynore on March 24, 1978, in Wampsville. Bob passed away on July 8, 2004. Surviving are: her children, Tina and Greg Liddiard of Naples, NY, James Clapper, Sr., of London, KY, Naomi and William Curtis of Canastota, and Jesse Clapper of Canastota; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and Marjorie Popple of Canastota, and Clyde and Virginia Popple of Canastota; one sister, Nancy Garrow of Canastota; many grandchildren including, Tanya Meath, Summer Pourner, Bradley Liddiard, Brandy Liddiard, Dakota Liddiard, Ashley Kenyon, Chelsea Keith, Nicole Clapper, Thomas Clapper, Clara Oliver, Dillon Clapper, Katelyn Clapper, Summer Clapper, Evangeline Clapper, Crystal Mooney, and Brandon Curtis; twenty-two great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Lillian was predeceased by a grandson, James R. Clapper, Jr. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 9, 2021, at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at the funeral home. The Rev. William M. Wilcox will officiate. Burial will be in Lenox Rural Cemetery. In her memory, contributions may be made to Canastota Football, 318 Port Street, Canastota, NY 13032, or to Jody Lynn's School of Dance, 2347 Genesee Street, Canastota, NY 13032, to establish a dance scholarship in Lillian's memory, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
