Obituary of Robert L. Drummond
CLOCKVILLE . . .
Robert L. Drummond, 73, of 3674 Watson Road, Canastota (Clockville), passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at University Hospital, Syracuse, following a brief illness.
He was born on November 8, 1944, in Oneida, the son of the late Wayne and Mary (Veling) Drummond.
Bob has lived in the Oneida and Clockville area all of his life, attending the Clockville and Canastota schools.
He worked for Oneida Limited in Sherrill, Jay Paving Company in Oneida, and Worlock Stone Company in Clockville.
Bob enjoyed building and flying model airplanes, music, and playing his guitar, gunsmithing, and anything outdoors, including hunting and fishing,.
He married Patricia A. Snyder on June 29 1963, in Clockville.
Surviving besides his wife, Patricia, are: five sons, Robert and Teri Drummond of Canastota, James Drummond of Wampsville, Daniel Drummond of Clockville, Joseph and Lori Drummond of Durhamville, and Benjamin Drummond and Karen Dodge of Canastota; one daughter, Charlene Drummond of Syracuse; thirteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by three brothers, John Wayne Drummond, David O. Drummond, and Eugene Drummond; and a sister, Patricia Twogood.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, June 11, 2018, at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota. The Rev. William M. Wilcox, Pastor of the Fyler Community Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Lenox Rural Cemetery, Canastota. Calling hours will be held on Monday, prior to the service, from 10 a.m. to Noon at the funeral home. In his memory, contributions may be made to Greater Lenox Ambulance Service (GLAS), PO Box 382, Canastota, NY 13032, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
