Obituary of Susan Arre

Susan L. (Freunscht) Arre, 96 of Oneida, Passed away on Sunday August 1, 2021, at the Abraham House, in Rome with her daughter at her side. She was born on November 13, 1924 in Fort Salonga, NY, the daughter of the late Otto and Adeline (Bohnenkamp) Freunscht. Susan held a position with the Magnavox Company in Manilus, NY as an assembler for many years and previously on Long Island with Grumman Aircraft. Sue was married to the late Alvin R. Arre. She enjoyed gardening, embroidering and going on rides to see all the deer and beautiful landscapes. Surviving is a daughter Patricia Arre of Oneida with whom she resided; Two cats Emme (Grammie’s Sweetie) and Truffles. Sue is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by three brothers Charles, Julius “Buddy” and Arthur Freunscht. Calling hours will be held on Monday August 9 from 1-2 at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, INC. 201 James St. Canastota, her funeral will be held at 2:00pm on Monday at the funeral home following visitation. Her burial will take place in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Canastota, at the convenience of the family. Susan’s daughter would like to express her heartfelt thanks to the caregivers and staff of the Abraham House in Rome, for their care and compassion displayed to Susan throughout her stay with them.
