Obituary of Valli L. Dye

ONEIDA . . . Valli L. (Morgan) Dye, 60, of 330 Main Street, Oneida, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at her home. She was born on April 11, 1961, in Rome, the daughter of the late John and Barbara (Miller) Morgan. Valli spent her early years in Rome and Canastota, graduating from Canastota High School in 1979, and later graduating from SUNY Morrisville in 1981. She was an auto parts manager at various places in Central New York for many years. Valli loved sports, and played softball, volleyball, and field hockey throughout high school. She loved pets, and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, cooking, and was an avid reader. Valli married Clayton R. "Bill" Dye on July 26, 2009, in Canastota. Surviving besides her husband, Bill, are: an aunt, Cheryl (Miller) LaFleur of Port Richey, FL; three brothers, Victor Morgan of Hammond, NY, Vincent and Jill Morgan of Steinhatchee, FL, and Vance and Debbie Morgan of Verona, NY; as well as nephews, and several cousins. Graveside services will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Peterboro Cemetery, Peterboro Road, Peterboro, NY. Pastor Philip Wright of the Canastota Baptist Church will officiate. In her memory, contributions may be made to the Canastota Baptist Church, 8829 Karlen Road, Rome, NY 13440.
