CLOCKVILLE . . . Raymond M. Smith, 27, of 7098 Old County Road, Canastota, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 17, 2018, at his home. He was born on January 12, 1991, in Oneida, the son of Ralph Smith and Eloise Percival. Raymond lived in Clockville all of his life, graduating from Canastota High School in 2009. He, also, graduated from SUNY Brockport in 2014, with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science. He has worked for Basilio Buda Sausage in Canastota for the last three years. Raymond enjoyed body building, hiking, camping, education and science, telling jokes, learning to play the guitar, and spending time with his family. His last gift to others, was to be an organ and tissue donor. Surviving are: his mother, Eloise Percival of Canastota; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Veronica and Joshua Oliver of Clockville, Olivia and Ryan Monahan of Eaton, Elaina Percival and Evelyn Percival, both of Canastota; two brothers, Charles Smith of Canastota, and Ezekiel Percival of Canastota; his maternal grandmother, Minnie Ryder of Morrisville; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Raymond was predeceased by his father, Ralph Smith. Memorial services for family and close friends will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the supervision of the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota. The family requests that anyone wishing to send flowers, send living arrangements to Veronica's home at 7120 Old County Road, Canastota.
