Obituary of Dorathy A. Wickham

CANASTOTA . . . Dorathy A. Wickham, 76, 9075 Lewis Point Road, Canastota, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021, at her home. She was born on April 23, 1945, in Florence, NY, the daughter of the late Walter and Edna May (Wilson) Kinney. Dorathy spent her early years in the Camden area, graduating from Camden High School. She has lived in the Canastota area most of her life. She worked as a Home Health Aide in the area, retiring after many years. Dorathy was a member of the Canastota Baptist Chapel. She enjoyed flowers, angels, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dorathy married Russell L. Wickham on June 24, 1962, in Westdale. Russell passed away on December 23, 2010. Surviving are: her longtime partner, Chester Rzeszot; one son, Lawrence W. Wickham of Canastota; one daughter, Heidi A. Wickham of Oneida; five grandchildren, Melissa Wickham and George Cassidy, Kenneth Frazer III and Dakota Townsend, Michael Frazer, Joshua Frazer, and Elvis Frazer and Lexie VanDusen; seven great grandchildren, Selena Frazer, Halley Frazer, Mason Douglas, Hayden Frazer, Hunter Frazer, Ardella Douglas, Alexcia Douglas; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dorathy was predeceased by one granddaughter, Heather Wickham Marino; one brother, Walter Kinney; and two sisters, Karen Boyce, and Shirley Metott. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home, follow the calling hours. The Rev. Phil Wright, of the Canastota Baptist Chapel, will officiate.
