Obituary of Judy L. Hill

CANASTOTA . . . Judy Lynn Hill, 65, of 3462 Conifer Drive, Canastota, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at her home. She was born on October 4, 1956, in Syracuse, the daughter of Floyd "Frank" and Genevieve "Ginger" (Bush) Hill. Judy spent her early years in Minoa and Canastota, graduating from Canastota High School. She later earned a bachelor's degree in business from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, CT, and attended Real Estate School in CT. Judy also lived in New Haven CT, and Oneida, before moving back to Canastota several years ago. She worked as an LPN at the Hazel Carpenter Home in Oneida and the Oneida City Hospital. Judy had also worked as a real estate agent for Century 21 Real Estate in New Haven, CT. Judy was a Renaissance Woman, who enjoyed cooking, DIY home projects, camping, enhancing her personal development, and had a strong love for music and animals. Her family, especially her children and grandchildren, were the most important part of her life. Surviving are: her three children, John and Genevieve Sgarlata of Durhamville, Nicole Green of Dumfries, VA, and Tyler Hill of Triangle, VA; her mother, Genevieve "Ginger" Hill of Oneida; three grandchildren, Victoria Sgarlata, Ella Green, and Peyton Green; one brother, Kevin Hill of Zephyrhills, FL; four sisters, Linda and Jack Cronan of Branford, CT, Nancy and Doug Barnard of Yorktown, VA, Kathleen Hill of Canastota, and Tami Hill and Steve Curtis of Oneida; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Judy was predeceased by her father, Frank Hill; and one brother, Denny Hill. At Judy's request there will be no public calling hours or funeral service. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family, with the Rev. Anthony F. Tosti officiating. Arrangements are under the supervision of the J.
