Charles T. "Charlie" Lucarelli, 76, of Canastota, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 16, 2023.



He was born on December 22, 1946, in Canastota, the son of the late Ernest and Anna (Cesarini) Lucarelli.



Charlie has lived in Canastota all of his life, graduating from Canastota High School in 1965. He later attended college in Ogden, Utah.



He was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving in Germany during the Vietnam War.



Charlie worked for the New York State Thruway Authority in Syracuse for many years, retiring in 2008.



He was a member of St. Agatha's Church in Canastota.



Surviving are: four sisters, Mary Lucarelli of Canastota, Lucy Lamkin of Canastota, Jean DeRegis of Syracuse, and Ann Twomey of East Syracuse; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Charlie was predeceased by two brothers, Aldo and James T. Lucarelli; and two sisters, Kathleen Lucarelli, and Theresa Lucarelli.



There will be no calling hours or funeral service. Burial will be in St. Agatha's Cemetery, Canastota.



Arrangements are under the supervision of the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota.
