Obituary of Roberta Elaine Warner

CANASTOTA . . . Roberta E. "Bobbie" Warner, 74, of 30 East Grago Blvd., Canastota, died unexpectedly on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at her home, following a brief illness. She was born on September 21, 1943, in Oneida, the daughter of the late Daniel and Hazel (Mowers) Blowers. Bobbie lived in Sylvan Beach for many years, attending the Oneida schools. She has lived in Canastota for the last 17 years. Roberta owned and operated Sylvan Beach Mobil Home Park for 30 years. She also worked at PPC in Manlius, Jack's Snacks, and Johnnie's Pier 31 in her teenage years. Bobbie was a Home Health Aide in the area for ten years, retiring in 2017, and was an EMT for more than 25 years. She was a member of the American Legion, Post 1153, in Sylvan Beach for many years. Bobbie enjoyed her great grandkids very much, and also loved plants and getting her hair done every week. She married James F. Warner on June 10, 1961, in Canastota. Jim died on March 22, 2016. Surviving are: one son and daughter-in-law, Jaimie and Rosanne Warner of Canastota; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sissie and Tim Stevens of Canastota, and Jackie and Andy Skinner of Blossvale; an adopted daughter, Heather Kimpel of Sylvan Beach; nine grandchildren, Stephanie and Andrew Brumber, Dillon Stevens and his fiancé, Katie Schmidt, Nathan Warner, Danyele Warner, Gary Skinner, Randi Skinner, Isaac Smith, Jake Smith, and James Anthony Warner; three great grandchildren, Austin Brumber, Mason Brumber, and Violet Warner; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins, including a special nephew, Roy Blowers, Jr. Bobbie was predeceased by a son, James F. Warner, Jr.; a granddaughter, Nicole Lee Stevens; three brothers, Richard Blowers, Robert Blowers, and Roy Blowers, Sr.; and one sister, Rita Hall. A Celebration of her Life will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, September 17, 2018, at the Whitelaw Presbyterian Church, 8665 N. Main Street, Canastota, with a brief prayer and burial in Whitelaw Cemetery to follow. Arrangements are under the supervision of the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota.
