Obituary of Lucille J. Spara

Lucille J. Spara, 93, of Oneida and formerly of Blossvale, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023, at Oneida Health Hospital ECF. She was born in Canastota, on June 11, 1930, a daughter of the late Fred and Glennis (Snavely) Tucker. She attended Alene and Canastota Schools. Her first marriage was to Kenneth L. Tallman. Lucille retired from Oneida City Hospital after over twenty-seven years of loyal service. On July 1, 1972, she married Dominick Spara. Mr. Spara passed away on March 16, 2010, after over thirty-eight years of marriage. Lucille enjoyed gardening, reading, puzzles, and crocheting; her favorite pastime was spent with her family and friends. She is survived by a daughter, Roslie Tallman of Wampsville; a son and daughter-in-law, Lauren and Barbara Tallman of Blossvale; eight grandchildren, Kristina (Francisco) Zenon, Dan (Kristi) Meyers, Katie Tallman, Emily (Zack) Wallis, Wendy Catello, Lee Ann Catello, Melanie (Andy) Catello, and Faith Winn; and thirteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by several Nieces, Nephews, and a special sister-in-law, Phyllis Tucker of Penn Yan. She was preceded in death by a brother, Leon Tucker, and a sister, Joyce Tucker. In keeping with Lucille’s wishes there will be no public services.
