Obituary of Tim March

VERNON . . . Tim March, 60, of 5411 State Route 26, Vernon, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at his home, with his family by his side, following a brief battle with cancer. He was born on October 18, 1957, in Oneida, the son of the late Charles and Joan (Dixon) March. Tim lived in Vernon area most of his life, graduating from Westmoreland High School. He was a Veteran of the US Navy, serving from 1976-1980, as an engineman. Tim had also lived in Knoxboro for several years. He worked as a truck driver for H.P. Hood in Oneida, and had previously worked for Black Horse Carriers in Tully, and at the Rite Aid Distribution Center in Rome. Tim enjoyed his John Deere tractors, being at home, and spending time with his family. He was an avid motorcyclist when he was younger. He married Deana L. Reed on June 4, 1988, in Knoxboro. Surviving besides his wife of 30 years, Deana, are: two sons, Jeremy March and his fiancé, Jen Jerrell, of Rogers, AR, and Steven Webb and his fiancé, Lesley Stueber, of Kansas City, MO; two daughters, Sherry Webb of Tampa, FL, and Lauri Webb of Buffalo; seven grandchildren, Nathan March, Charlie March, Steven March, Samantha Lutz, Jonah Lutz, Layla Perez, and Elijah Brown; one brother and sister-in-law, Andy and Patricia March of Vernon; one sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Terry Rounds of Lowell; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota, with funeral services to follow. Burial will be in Skinner Cemetery, Vernon Center. In his memory, contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc., 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, NY 13413, with envelopes available at the funeral home. J.
