Obituary of David B. Walters

CANASTOTA . . . David B. Walters, 61, formerly of 120 Belleview Drive, Canastota, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 1, 2024, at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse. He was born on January 14, 1962, in Massena, the son of Joseph and Joyce (Bowman) Walters. David spent his early years in the area, attending the Morrisville-Eaton schools, and Madison/Oneida BOCES. He has been a resident of the Crouse Community Center in Morrisville for the last two years. He worked at the Madison/Cortland ARC in Oneida for many years, and was associated with Liberty Resources, Inc. in Syracuse. Surviving besides his parents, Joseph and Joyce Walters, of Fenner are: his twin brother, Douglas Walters of Canastota; and two cousins of Florida. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024, at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota. Burial will be private. In his memory, contributions may be made to The Arc of Madison Cortland, 701 Lenox Avenue, Oneida, NY 13421, or to Liberty Resources, Inc., 1045 James Street, Syracuse, NY 13203, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
