CANASTOTA . . .

Gloria W. DeVencenzo, 92, of 105 Third Street, Canastota, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at the home of her nephews, following a lengthy illness.

She was born on January 7, 1932, in Canastota, the daughter of the late Edward and Emma (Cerio) Wright.

Gloria lived in Canastota all of her life, graduating from Canastota High School.

She retired from Diemolding Corporation in Canastota, after working there as an administrative assistant for many years.

Gloria was a communicant of St. Agatha's Church in Canastota.

She enjoyed playing golf, and spending time with her family and friends.

Gloria married Samuel P. "Divy" DeVencenzo on October 17, 1953, in Canastota. Sam passed away on September 17, 2012.

She is survived by nieces and nephews, including Daniel Mancini of Oneida, Mark Mancini and his wife, Kathleen Rapasadi, of Canastota, and Robert Mancini of New Jersey; one grandniece, Alexandra Mancini of Canastota; and cousins, Jim and Carol Cerio of Oneida. Gloria was predeceased by two brothers, Roger Wright and Edward Wright.

Gloria's nephews would like to thank all those who helped with her care, especially Grace Rapasadi, Jeanine Otts Jones, Ann Bronk, Sue Froio, and Betty Hollingsworth.

Calling hours will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at St. Agatha's Church, 329 N. Peterboro Street, Canastota. A funeral mass will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. The Rev. Christopher J. Ballard, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Agatha's Cemetery, Canastota.
