NORTH BAY . . . Jeannette F. "Jean" Patsy, 98, formerly of North Bay and Canastota, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 27, 2024. She was born on August 17, 1925, in Clinton, the daughter of the late Harold, Sr. and Frances (Roach) Morgan. Jean spent her early years in Clinton, attending the Clinton schools. She later lived in North Bay most of her life, and in Canastota for ten years. Jean has been a resident of the Extended Care since 2016. She was a beloved school bus driver for Camden Central School, retiring after thirty years of service. She loved and cared for all the children on her bus. Jean was very involved in the Camden Little League many years ago, and at Stoneleigh Apartments in Canastota when she lived there. She enjoyed canning, helping people, and spending time with her family. Jean was predeceased by her husbands, William West and Dominick Patsy. Surviving are: one son, Norman D. West of Camden; one daughter, Antoinette "Toni" Franklin of Orcas, WA; and her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jean was predeceased by one daughter, Elaine West; two brothers, John Morgan, and Harold "Buddy" Morgan, Jr.; and one sister, Patricia DiGaspari. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota. There will be no funeral service. Burial will be in St. Agatha's Cemetery, Canastota. In her memory, contributions may be made to the Opportunity Shop (Food Pantry and Thrift Shop), 128 E. Center Street, Canastota, NY 13032, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
