CANASTOTA . . .

John G. Arnold, 52, of 3008 Indian Opening Road, Canastota, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at University Hospital, Syracuse.

He was born on June 12, 1971, in Oneida, the son of Gilbert W. Arnold and Marion Farr.

John lived in Canastota area most all his life, graduating from Canastota High School.

He worked as a handyman for several residents in Canastota.

John enjoyed the outdoors, and helping at the International Boxing Hall of Fame in Canastota.

Surviving are: his father, Gilbert Arnold of Ilion; several cousins; and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2024, at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota. Pastor Donna Chapman of the Whitelaw Presbyterian Church will officiate. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in Lenox Rural Cemetery, Canastota.
