CANASTOTA . . .

Jessica L. Shepard, 49, of 204 Prospect Street, Canastota, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on September 5, 1974, in Syracuse, the daughter of Michele Shepard.

Jessica lived in Canastota most of her life, graduating from Canastota High School in 1991, and later graduated from the Utica School of Commerce in Canastota.

She worked at Stonehedge Nursing Home in Chittenango for several years.

Jessica was an avid reader, and enjoyed playing Yahtzee, watching sunsets and cooking shows, especially Gordon Ramsey. She loved her animals, and spending time with her family.

Surviving are: three sons, Alexander J.J. Shepard, Jeremy M. Domena, Jr., and Ayden M.J. Domena, all of Canastota; one daughter, Aydria M. Domena of Canastota; her mother, Michele Shepard of Canastota; her "wifey" Dawn Webber of Canastota; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Matthew and Tracee Pendell of Canastota, and John and Allie Williams of Verona; aunts and uncles including, MaryJo Williams of Oneida, and Michael and Ethel Shepard of Cedarville, NJ; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Melissa Shepard of Syracuse, and JoAnna Shepard and Quintell Coleman of Canastota; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jessica was predeceased by her best friends, Rebecca Hannan and Kim Buell; the love of her life, Jeremy M. Domena, Sr.; and Gregory R. "Dugga" Graves.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, March 25, 2024, at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota. There will be no funeral service, however, a Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date.
