Teresa E. Smith, 70, of Kirkville, NY, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Oneida Health Hospital.

Born in Syracuse, NY, on April 25, 1953, to the late Edward and Catherine A. (Jamieson) La France. Teresa graduated from Cicero High School, class of 1971, and attended Beauty School in Rome, NY. At one time she held a position with Oneida Limited. Mrs. Smith was the owner and operator of Teresa’s Country Cuts in Kirkville for many years prior to her retirement.

Teresa married Roy Smith, Sr. on April 10, 1976, in Bridgeport, NY. The Couple shared in a union of over forty-four years prior to Mr. Smith’s passing on May 19, 2020.

Teresa’s hobbies include making stained glass windows, and carving gourds.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Roy and Rebecca Smith of Durhamville, and Edward and Brenda Smith of Canastota; several grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy and Rick Murphy of Cicero, and Julie and Steve Shantal of Canastota. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.

In keeping with Teresa’s wishes there will be no public services.
