CANASTOTA . . .

Roslyn J. Reed, 81, of 7284 Patane Drive, Canastota, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 21, 2024, at her home.

She was born on January 21, 1943, in Canastota, the daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa (Balducci) Patane.

Roslyn has lived in Canastota most of her life, graduating from Canastota High School, and later Syracuse University.

She was a devoted wife and mother, and owned and operated Roslyn Reed Miniatures, making doll house miniatures for more than forty years.

Roslyn enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.

She married Richard "Dick" Reed on December 23, 1962, in Syracuse. Dick passed away on November 22, 2006.

Surviving are: two sons and a daughter-in-law, Randall S. Reed of Hillsboro, NC, and Rollin P. and Kim Reed of Canastota; three grandchildren, Jasmine Reed, Ryan Miller, and Roman Reed; and one great grandson, William Smith.

At Roslyn's request there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota.

In her memory, contributions may be made to the Canastota Public Library, 102 West Center Street, Canastota, NY 13032.
