Sylvan Beach, NY...

Evelyn J. “Evie” Sharp, 74 passed away peacefully on August 8th, 2024, at Oneida ICU. She was born on September 14th, 1949, in Rome, the daughter of the late John E. and Caroline G. (Twiss) Sharp.

Evie was a longtime resident of Sylvan Beach and a graduate from VVS High School. She worked at Cinderella’s Café in Sylvan Beach for over 30 years where she became part of the Farnach family.

Evie had active interest in the lives of people close to her, she was a devoted member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Verona Beach and in her free time she enjoyed baking and playing BINGO.

Evie was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers. She is survived by many special nieces and nephews.

Evelyn’s loved ones would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the following staff at Oneida ECF for their incredible patience and caregiving during Evelyn’s stay with them. Business Director Associates; Kim & Loni, Unit Secretary, Christina, and OHC ICU Dr. Vanderhoff, Dr. Koussa, and nurses.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Fellowship Baptist Church, 2460 Oneida St, Verona Beach, NY 13162, on Friday, August 16th from 5:00 - 6:30pm. There will be a funeral service immediately following at 6:30pm at the church.

In her memory contributions may be made to, the Fellowship Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at church.
