Robert H. Musacchio, 88, of 4023 Douglas Heights, Canastota, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Oneida Healthcare.
He was born on November 6, 1935, in Canastota, the son of the late Michael and Angeline Musacchio.
Bob has lived in Canastota all his life, attending the Canastota schools.
He worked for DiVeronica Brothers Construction Company in Canastota, and Canastota Construction Company for many years.
Bob was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
He was a member of American Legion Charles Miller Post #140 in Canastota, the Canastota Volunteer Fire Department, and St. Agatha's Church in Canastota.
Surviving are: his fiancé and life partner, Mary Anne DiGeorge of Canastota; one son, Robert J. Musacchio of Canastota; grandchildren, Jennifer and Will Hook and their children; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bob was predeceased by eight brothers, Anthony Musacchio, Michael Musacchio, John Musacchio, Allie Musacchio, Joseph Musacchio, Jerry Musacchio, David Musacchio, and Richard Musacchio; and three sisters, Madeline Lanning, Rose Bellino, and Dorothy Emerson.
Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Anthony F. Tosti will officiate. Burial will be in St. Agatha's Cemetery, Canastota.
