Hard to pinpoint one single 'memory' of Mom, so here are some general thoughts.
Her loves included: birds, cats, nature, the Dodgers, the Bills, the Sabres, and her family. But she truly loved baseball. She could talk baseball, knew the old-timers, and her Brooklyn Dodgers were her team. Liked Elvis, too--can't go wrong there. She was devoted to AA, and worked her way through her own struggles, and then, paid it forward, helping out many in the same boat. That's always something I've truly admired about her.
She lived a peaceful life, helped others, and was non-confrontational. Her conversations were always sensible, sweet, and interesting. She really devoted her time to you when she talked. Her handwritten letters were beautifully penned, and she never forgot a birthday. She evolved with the times, too, and used email, and always responded in such fine fashion.
Thanks Mom for listening, in a world where so many don't.
Miss you already; miss calling you, miss emailing you, miss loving you. Miss your goodness.
